PEER SUPPORT SERVICES
At WellStrong, recovery is not something we do for people — it’s something we do with people. Our programs are peer-led and peer-governed, meaning they are designed, guided, and sustained by individuals who are themselves in recovery. This model creates a deeply authentic and empowering community where lived experience is not only valued — it’s the foundation of everything we do.
Through our Peer Mentors, Peer Wellness Coaches, and Peer Support Navigators, WellStrong provides opportunities for individuals in recovery to find purpose, employment, and leadership while helping others rebuild their lives. Together, these programs strengthen recovery capital, foster connection, and create pathways to long-term stability and wellness.

PEER MENTORS
Our Peer Mentors are the heartbeat of WellStrong. They create a safe, welcoming environment where every person feels seen, supported, and inspired. Each mentor uses their own recovery journey to offer understanding and encouragement, helping members engage in programs, connect with peers, and rediscover their strengths.
-
Provide day-to-day peer support within the wellness center

This role not only supports our community — it also provides meaningful employment opportunities for individuals in recovery who are ready to step into leadership and give back to others.

PEER WELLNESS COACHING
The Peer Wellness Coaching Program provides individualized, one-on-one support to help participants strengthen their wellness, set recovery goals, and create action plans for success. Coaches are certified peers who draw from both professional training and personal experience in recovery to walk alongside participants in building balanced, purpose-driven lives.

-
Collaborative goal setting across physical, emotional, and social wellness
-
Personalized wellness and recovery action plans
-
Encouragement and accountability from someone who truly understands the process
This free program is available to individuals in early recovery (within their first year of sobriety). It not only helps participants stay on track but also creates employment pathways for trained peers, strengthening the recovery workforce on Cape Cod.

PEER SUPPORT NAVIGATORS
Our Peer Support Navigators ensure that no one has to navigate recovery alone. Navigators help individuals identify needs, remove barriers, and connect with community resources such as treatment, housing, employment, or ongoing wellness supports. By offering lived-experience guidance and practical assistance, they bridge the gap between recovery and real-world stability.
-
Providing peer-based guidance and emotional support through transitions
-
Offering direct referrals and warm handoffs to community services
-
Assisting with goal setting and problem solving for sustained wellness
-
Collaborating with local organizations to strengthen access to care
Navigator positions are another way WellStrong provides employment and leadership opportunities for individuals in recovery who want to make a lasting impact on others and their community.

TOGETHER, WE LEAD THROUGH LIVED EXPERIENCE
At WellStrong, we believe that the most powerful recovery communities are built by peers — for peers. Our peer-led, peer-governed model empowers individuals to grow, lead, and thrive while uplifting others along the way. Through connection, compassion, and opportunity, we’re transforming recovery into a shared path of healing and purpose.
